Jolly Bar Row Along- Week 2

It’s week two of the Jolly Bar Row Along! I am sewing along with the Fat Quarter Shop. You can check out the Fat Quarter Shop blog and see all of my blogging buddies! Today’s quilt block is called Spinning Spools. It is one of the blocks in the Jolly Bar Book Volume 2. We are making a sampler quilt with all of the blocks in this book. And it is going to be sew cute! You can see the schedule and fabric requirements here.

I am using the jolly bar, Early Bird by Bonnie and Camille. I love Bonnie and Camille fabric! And this line is super cute! My other favorite supplies I’m using are Aurifil thread, my aqua rotary cutter and the cutest pink iron ever!

Spinning Spools is one of the fastest blocks ever! You only need two Jolly Bar rectangles and some background. I want to make this entire quilt! And that navy floral is my new favorite print.

These blocks are so fun! I had two of the aqua stripe prints in my jolly bar. Now my spools can match. I’m excited to see this all put together in my sampler quilt. Are you quilting along?
